NEW 2022 RULES FOR CHILDCARE PROVIDERS
2022 PEDIATRIC FIRST AID & CPR REQUIREMENTS FORPA CHILDCARE PROVIDERS
PA Code 55 sub sections 3270, 3280 and 3290 which now require ALL Staff Persons to COMPLETE Pediatric First Aid and CPR within 90 days of hire and to renew their current Pediatric First Aid CPR before or on date of expiration (55Pa 3270.31, 3280.31, 3290.31) In addition the Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR trainings MUST be conducted by an approved Pennsylvania Quality Assurance System (PQAS) instructor using an OCDEL recognized curriculum for compliance with certification regulations.
The PD Registry will be used as a method for registering and tracking participants.
OCDEL Certification staff can accept PD Registry Report or Individual Certifications .
All certificates will have Pediatric First Aid and Pediatric CPR on the certificates
